MarketplaceAnalytics
A profit-first analytics cockpit for brands selling on Amazon, Flipkart and other Indian marketplaces. I owned most of the core modules and the shared data layer behind them.
Deployment environments from day one, including a sales demo
Profit, payments, inventory, returns, orders and Buy Box in one front end on a shared table and filter system
Thechallenge
Marketplace sellers get their numbers in scattered exports: orders in one place, settlements in another, returns somewhere else and fees buried in invoices.
Nobody could answer the basic question - which SKUs actually make money after commissions, shipping, returns, TCS and ad spend? - without a spreadsheet marathon. The platform set out to pull it all into one dashboard per seller, per channel.
How Iapproached it
Profit first
Order-level and SKU-level profit views per channel, with commission, shipping, TCS and ad spend layered in, margin calculations, custom totals and date-range exports.
Follow the money
Payments reconciliation so sellers can see what the marketplace actually paid versus what it owed, alongside inventory, master SKU mapping across channels and warehouse locations.
One data layer for every module
A named API registry and a central request wrapper that de-duplicates in-flight calls and cancels stale ones, plus shared tables, filter headers and search headers used across every module.
Ship to four environments
GitLab CI building per environment and syncing to S3 behind CloudFront, for dev, staging, production and a dedicated demo build for sales.
Highlightsworth showing
- (01)
Request de-duplication and cancellation at the wrapper level, so fast channel and date-range changes never paint old data.
- (02)
Browser-based QR receiving for returns - warehouse staff scan goods straight from the app, no handheld scanner app needed.
- (03)
Buy Box ownership and unauthorised-seller detection screens for brand protection.
- (04)
India state maps and heatmaps of orders and warehouses.
- (05)
Organisation user management with roles, OTP signup, plans and billing, idle timeout and an internal admin dashboard for sync status.
